2022 WDW MARATHON RACE WEEKEND

runDisney's Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is NEXT WEEK and we are so ready to back in the most magical place on earth! Keep reading for our entire weekend schedule, how to participate both in person and virtually, and some Crowned extras to keep the weekend magical!

First things first - just like usual, the Crowned Crew will be racing together both in person and virtually all weekend long! For each race morning, even if you're not officially registered, you can still race with us! Scroll to the bottom for all your bibs and virtual medals then tag @crownedathletics in all your Instagram posts so we can repost everyone just like we are running together!

Schedule:

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings: Race with us in-person or virtually! If you see me on the 5k and 10k courses I'll have free goodies and discount codes to hand out.

Thursday, January 6th 12 - 6pm EST: Crowned Athletics Pop-up Shop at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in the Swan Peacock Room

Sunday, January 9th morning: Crowned Cheer area! Join us directly across from Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk to cheer on our Crowned Crew marathoners

Sunday, January 9th 5pm EST: Crowned Crew social meetup - it's time to party! Join us in Epcot on the steps of Venice in front of the Italy pavilion for some socializing and celebration!

Instagram Filter:

We created a Marathon Weekend themed animated filter for the entire weekend's festivities! Use during your race, in the parks, at our pop-up shop, on your virtual course, EVERYWHERE! You can find and use it in the "MARATHON 2022" highlight on our Crowned Athletics Instagram page.

 

Pop-up shop:

Thursday, January 6th from 12 - 6pm located at Disney's Swan & Dolphin resort on the Swan Convention Center side in the Peacock Room. Try on and shop at discounted prices our Bow Besties Collection, princess tank tops, accessories and JACKETS - we were able to bring a small batch of our sold out Beauty Sleep Princess Reversible Jackets! My Inspiring Balloons (a local black woman owned small business) will be decking out our space along with music, refreshments, and more!

Cheer area:

We will be cheering on all our marathoners on the Boardwalk directly across from Jellyrolls just after Mile 24. Look for our Crowned specific signs and come say hi whether you're running or cheering! Keep an eye on our Instagram stories in case our location has to change last minute.

Social Meetup:

It's time to party! Sunday, January 9th at 5pm - we will meet over the steps of Venice in front of the Italy pavilion for some socializing and lots of celebration. Keep an eye on our Instagram stories in case the location has to change last minute.

Virtually Race with us:

1. Run, walk, or run/walk any distance of your choice at any time of day on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday January 6-9

2. Right click to download and print or virtually paste the graphics below onto your race photos.

3. Tag @crownedathletics and use #racewithcrowned to race along with others 

4. We have the most fun running virtually when we look for things in our neighborhood that remind us of runDisney races - ie: castles, character stops, cone alley, "pardon our pixie dust" construction areas, etc. We love seeing your creativity!
